- Your Visit
More than just a dermatology or plastic surgery practice in the Philadelphia area, Cirillo Institute is a comprehensive state-of-the-art, 100% integrated dermatology and plastic surgery megaplex. We are a tertiary skin cancer referral center known by a majority of area referring physicians as the place to go if you have skin cancer. Our integrated Mohs Surgery and Skin Cancer repair is the envy of others, providing one-stop-shopping and the most efficient, high-level reconstructive care for senior skin from a plastic surgeon who is a full-time member of our team – not a rental, ½ day per-week traveling plastic surgeon.
In addition to our medical dermatology and plastic surgery practices, our cosmetic dermatology practice was the area pioneer with Dr. Cirillo innovating and leading the way with cutting edge technology and aesthetic services. Our body sculpting, cosmetic and laser surgery, dermatology, dermatologic and skin cancer surgery, medical aesthetics with BOTOX® and fillers, aesthetician services, and medical grade skin care products are second-to-none.
The mission of Cirillo Institute is to deliver skilled and efficient skin care along with ethical, empathetic, comprehensive care for all medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and plastic surgery treatments/conditions. Our motto is: “It’s all about the patient.” Our commitment to excellence, along with the credentials of our skilled physicians and staff, are what make Cirillo Institute among the most unique and progressive facilities in the region.

What to Expect
Upon entering our dermatology and plastic surgery facilities, you’ll be checked in by one of our courteous staff. Our modern reception areas are a warm and friendly environment with comfortable chairs, and free guest wi-fi access, although our patients are typically not in the waiting room long enough to use it. We offer curbside check-in and of course, our parking is spacious and free, with close and easy access to our entrances.
Please review and familiarize yourself with our Google Maps profiles (pictures, videos, street-view, and 360% panoramic views) of our 4 locations in case it is your 1st time visiting us and you are unsure where you are going:
During Your Visit
We expect to deliver excellent clinical care, on-time, respecting our patient’s schedules. We do everything to stay on time and our REVIEWS often attest to our punctuality and clinical excellence. However, occasionally we encounter an issue that slows us down – a patient that needs urgent attention. Please bear with us if that happens as someday you might be that patient that needs extra attention. Our dermatologists are highly educated and experienced, and they are compensated by Medicare and commercial insurance companies for their diagnostic excellence. Dermatology is not a time-based specialty, and most Medical dermatology appointments are 15 minutes or less because the dermatologist sees and assesses your condition, and renders a decision. If there is “condition uncertainty”, a skin biopsy and a Dermatopathologist assessment under a microscope is always the path to “condition certainty”. Our Mohs surgery, plastic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology appointments are often longer than 15 minutes, and our schedulers will be able to give you an approximate estimate of the length of your appointment.
Express Check-Out
We offer Express Check-out to minimize your time in our waiting room out of respect for the transmissibility of COVID. We can call you later in the day or the following day if you need a follow-up visit. However, everyone is welcome to check-out at our front desk if they want to immediately get their next appointment on our schedule and in their calendars.
Prescriptions
If you are prescribed a prescription, please do not drive immediately your pharmacy after your visit. Our providers typically finalize their notes twice-per-day: during lunch and at the day’s end. Prescriptions are sent electronically after note finalization. Please check with your pharmacy to ensure your prescription has been filled prior to traveling there.
