BRYN MAWR SKIN & CANCER INSTITUTE and Dr. Chalmers E. Cornelius, III, Dr. Victoria A. Cirillo-Hyland, Dr. John K. Mulholland and Dr. Kara D. Capriotti are pleased to welcome Stuart R. Lessin, M.D. to our practice.

Dr. Lessin is the former Director of Dermatology and the Melanoma Family Risk Assessment Program at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Dr. Lessin has received national awards for his skin cancer research, authored over 100 medical and scientific publications and is internationally recognized as a leader in skin cancer care. He serves as the Boards of the Dermatology Foundation and the Cutaneous Lymphoma Foundation. He has been listed in America’s Top Doctors, America’s Best Doctors, America’s Best Doctors for Cancer and Top Doctors in Philadelphia since 2004. He now brings his expertise to the Bryn Mawr Skin & Cancer Institute.

Dr. Lessin was born and raised in the Philadelphia area and is a long time resident of Haverford. He graduated Penn State University and received his M.D from Temple University School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in dermatology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he first worked with Dr. Cirillo-Hyland. He received fellowship training in molecular biology at the Wistar Institute before joining the faculty of the Department of Dermatology of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and served as a Co-Director of the Cutaneous Lymphoma Program and Pigmented Lesion Group.

Victoria A. Cirillo-Hyland, M.D. is proud to also announce a second Bryn Mawr Skin & Cancer practice location at the Bryn Mawr Health Center in Newtown Square. The addition of Dr. Lessin and the geographic expansion of her medical dermatology practice to Newtown Square will increase BMSC’s ability to deliver world class skin care to our patients on the Main Line, where we have been proudly serving since 1968.
