Keralase^™

Healthy follicles are vital for strong, thick hair that covers the scalp. Keralase^™ works by creating healthy scalp conditions that promote hair growth potential.

First, the Lutronic LaseMD Ultra^® laser creates numerous “micro-channels” in the scalp. These are tiny columns that trigger a healing response, as well as open the skin to make it more receptive to topical applications. The laser light is non-ablative, which means it does not remove any layers of skin.

Next, KeraFactor^® Peptide Complex is applied directly to the scalp. Research has shown that creating micro-channels before applying the serum improves absorption of the beneficial ingredients by five to seven percent.

The proprietary KeraFactor^® Peptide Complex formula contains five bio- identical growth factors and a pair of proteins necessary for a healthy scalp, all of which penetrate the skin and begin improving the treatment area. The LaseMD Ultra^® laser light also enhances the scalp’s microvasculature, consisting of small blood vessels. Improving blood flow in the treatment area further encourages follicle rejuvenation and fuller hair growth.

Treatment sessions last about 30 minutes or less, with the laser light generating a feeling of heat in the scalp throughout the process. This sensation should fade in a matter of hours after the Keralase^™ appointment. Aside from staying out of direct sunlight and not washing your hair for the first 24 hours after a Keralase^™ treatment, there are no limiting aftercare instructions. Patients can return to their everyday activities within a day.

Improving scalp health is a gradual process, so the recommended treatment course is three to six sessions spaced about a month apart. Many patients start to see noticeable results after their first couple of sessions, with improvements developing further over the next six to nine months—and a year or longer after your final session.
