Tracey has been “oncology trained” by Oncology Spa Solutions. This is an advanced certification training program for licensed spa professionals that requires re-certification and testing every two years. It specifically addresses how cancer and cancer treatments affect the person and what that means to the spa therapist who is providing services. It helps the esthetician to understand cancer, medications, current treatments, side effects, and contraindications.
Most patients undergoing radiation and chemotherapy will experience skin issues. Some of these issues range from mildly irritating dryness and rashes to more severe skin issues. Patients working with Tracey will receive a customized service, and she will discuss the side effects being experienced and what can be done to help lessen them.
